Apply to Reynolds

Review available transfer paths to ensure you enroll in the aligned associates degree program at Reynolds.

Succeed at Reynolds

Complete your first two years with a minimum 2.5 GPA while receiving support from both Reynolds and VCU advisors.

Transfer to VCU

Seamlessly transition to VCU as a junior with guaranteed credit transfer and continued support.

Initial Eligibility

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED
  • Attend Reynolds Community College
  • Earn a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on the first 12 credits attempted at Reynolds
  • Enroll in an eligible associate degree program (see transfer pathways above)
  • Have completed no more than 30 college credits at Reynolds*
*The 30-credit limit does not include AP, IB, CLEP, or any other earned credit by exam. High school dual enrollment credit and credit earned at other U.S. or international colleges or universities will apply to the 30-credit limit.

Ongoing Requirements

  • Maintain grades of A, B, or C in all community college courses
  • Meet with Reynolds and VCU advisors at least once per semester
  • Attend at least one VCU information session or community-building activity per semester
  • Graduate from Reynolds with the designated associate degree
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of graduation from Reynolds
  • Apply for graduation by published deadlines
  • Submit NEXT STEP Declaration Form by deadlines (March 15 for fall, November 1 for spring)
  • Provide two official Reynolds transcripts to VCU Admissions
